Kiss The Fish, Issue #11 - The Kingdom Within November 06, 2008 |
I don't want to sound like Horton, because I've never heard a Who. And what I know about the when and wherefore couldn't fill the why of a fool. But the wisest people I've ever heard say there's a kingdom in me and you. And if you want to rule a world, there is one thing you need to do. Never let the carnival man bark in your ear too long or too loud. He is persistant, persuasive and enticing with dramatic flair. But always remember, the balloons in the big top are full of a lot of hot air. Seems like you can't go anywhere these days without being assaulted by the advertising of some hype-filled hucksters. Here's an activity for your kids that will get them playing with words while teaching them to look critically at the media.
