Kids - if you want to write a poem, put some words in your mouth. Roll them around like gumballs. Roll them around on your tongue. You might take a sip to moisten your lips. Don't be afraid to work up a little spit. Just open your mouth, words will come out, and that's how poems begin.
Every month we draw the names of young poets who have submitted their work to us. Send us a poem of your own and we will enter you in our free poetry contest drawing.
Kid's Drawing: The kid's drawing is open to anyone from 1st grade through 8th grade. Grades 1 through 3 and 4 through 8 will be grouped together for the drawing. Just follow the simple steps below to get started!

In an effort to encourage parents to write poetry for their children, A Child's Voice is sponsoring this contest for adults.
